You might be building your slnk.me page on a laptop, but your audience is viewing it on a phone. The slnk.me editor is responsive by default, but these tips will ensure a flawless mobile experience.

The "Stacking" Logic

When you use a Grid (like the 2x2 grid seen in the "My Desk" section), it looks great on desktop. But what happens on mobile?

  • Auto-Stacking: slnk.me automatically stacks grid items vertically on mobile devices.
  • Order Matters: The item on the left will appear above the item on the right. Keep this in mind when arranging priority links.

Touch Targets

Fingers are less precise than mouse cursors.

  • Button Size: Ensure your Element: SOCIAL-LINKS and call-to-action buttons are large enough to be tapped easily without zooming.
  • Padding: Add padding around clickable cards (like the "Macbook Air M1" card) so users don't accidentally click the wrong item while scrolling.

Check the Preview

In the top right corner of the editor, you'll see a Mobile Icon.

  • Always check this view before hitting publish.
  • Text Wrapping: Check if your long headlines break onto too many lines on mobile. If they do, shorten the copy or decrease the font size in the Settings panel.

Design for the phone in your hand, not the monitor on your desk.
